Miami Basel 2010

​

I'm a paragraph.I went to Miami Basel on commission for Spears Magazine in 2010.  My well known picture Backless Burka, came from that story, at a party at Effing family house. 

​I am drawn to things like Art Miami, drawn by the 'spectacular performance' as Godfrey Barker called it.  But I was there with my boyfriend of the time, I had a press pass which offered me phenomenal access to some of the most spectacular events Miami had to offer.

What if I was there on my own, what if I hadn't got into those parties.  You see there is anxiety in going, Miami is a fantasy, the kind of glamor it offers is not easily attainable, and there is a fear around it. I was in, but only just.  Do I want to be in.  Hell yes, that's why I am going back there this year.
